Why I Like the Library

The library is a good place to get my favorite books. Books are gateways to horror, humor, action, adventure and factual information. The library also has a large variety of books – there are hundreds of books!

The library gave me many interesting ideas to think about since I read a lot of non-fiction and history books. I not only read non-fiction books, but I also read fictional books like realistic fiction, comics, fantasy and fairytales. Fictional books are fun to read because of the suspense, humor and excitement. The library supplies many interesting books that I love to read. For example, one of my favorite series is Animorphs, which helps my imagination since I like to draw the characters.

Not only does the library have books, but it also has other media such as videos, recordings, and CDs. It has everything for entertainment. That is why I like the library.

How I Use My Public Library

“Aaahh! Please quiet down! I’m trying to read here! Maybe I can go to the library! Maybe I can even find a book on how to fix my bike”.

A library is a great place to go if your kid brother is too loud and you’re trying to read.

The Mason Public Library has books about everything and anything. It is a great place to get reference books for my homework. It helped me a lot when I did my research on turtles!

People can go to the library and use their computers to search the internet. Kids like me can play educational games too. My Dad loves going to the library to borrow CDs and audio books. My Mom likes their DVDs and magazines. My four year old brother enjoys their wooden puzzles and meeting new friends. My entire family loves going to the Mason Public Library!

From finding a quiet place to read to playing on the computer, there are many more fun and FREE things to do at the Mason Public Library. I hope it can get more money to buy even more books and movies in the future.

How I Use My Public Library

It is easy to become overwhelmed. In today’s society, with the ever incessant sounds of phones and television and bumbling I-Pods, there is hardly ever a moment to pause, let alone revel in silence and solitude. At the library, however, I find the peace I so desperately seek. Even more, I find a welcome air of mystery. For behind the unassuming books lining the shelves – their covers newly glossed, glinting, or worn and crumpled – there lay fantastic worlds burgeoning with secrets and ghosts. To crack open a book is to be transported, translated – transformed. The library thus serves as more than just a haven for me: it is a place of mystery and wonder, a place where I can find myself and find new places. It is, undoubtedly, a place of magic.
